I just installed a 2.0 comand in my 2000 clk430, a comand was from w208 also. Radio and CD working fine, I did not have cluster activated. In diagnostics screen I see my speed, direction, gps-00. The problem is GPS will not lock on location, I tried mercedes underdash antenna and aftermarket one. I have a 5V on antenna cable, but still no signal. Anybody had this problem? Software pboblem?
How long did you wait for the GPS fix? From a cold start it could take quite some time to find satellites. And you should do it preferably under open sky, not in a garage.
I drive a week with it already, car point wonders all over a map, into rivers, I really getting pissed off by it.
With 0 satellites you cannot expect a lot more after a week's drive. Driving does not make it better for a GPS fix, perhaps this site gives some help if you haven't read it yet: Mercedes Electronics upgrades, installation and retrofits
Nav.disc must be entered in the comand's nav.drive (original disc, preferably!). Set tire size. Leave car PARKED outside under clear sky for 15 minutes - at least - so the comand unit has some time to find SAT reception.
When comand found its location, drive around the block once or twice in order for it to pinpoint its exact location and its direction.
It takes 2-3 minutes for my portable GPS to lock on location, is Benz gps that bad, is it takes that long everytime for u guys? I do have a disk in it, maybe not original, I got off ebay, but It shows MAP. Any other thoughts?

You mean you need other thoughts, the advice from BigSis did not help? I guess the next advice then is to bring the device for service, likely broken.
Considering the MB GPS fix times, in a normal case it is less than 2 to 3 minutes, significantly less. Now we are talking about a case where the unit has lost time and last position, or even worse, it has a last position which is totally wrong. It isn't odd in this case that the fix would take some time.
My phone would do it with external assistance data and it gets GPS fix in seconds, but that isn't available for the car, not even needed in a normal case.
I'd suggest that you at least confirm you did try the earlier advice, otherwise members who can help may not care to do that.
I notice today it was showing 02 sat for a minute on highway, I think it might be an antenna issue, anybody have CLK430 with blue glass and use merc. underdash antenna? It might be a metalized glass that degrade GPS signal. Ill try to find that spliter and hook to roof antenna.

I doubt the CLK 430 would have IR shielding glass but you could always check from your vehicle data card (from your VIN).
You said in the first post that you had tried two different antenna, you did not use either one "on open sky". Odd if both would have be faulty but of course always possible.
Some early models could reset gps location by driving in two tight counter clockwise circles then two clockwise circles. Honestly I've never needed to do this and don't think it will help if no sat's are present. Did your last command have a similar problem?
