Can you explain what made you so frustrated? The fact that your radio asks for a code and it does not go away without you doing something?
My guess is that you asked from the dealer but he wanted money? If so, why not tell the story. In any case, try another dealer or pay the one who gives it to you for money. Or even better, search for the car documents, you should find the small sticker. Always good to take care of car documents, also if it is a second hand one.
