I have a MB C220 CDI of 2001. My car has full extras (Command, phone kit, etc).
The phone kit is, in paper, compatible with Nokia 6210 and Nokia 6310i. But in reality this kit only works with my 6210. I try other 6310i's, but anyone works.
I'm thinking if the problem can be the firmware version of the 6310i.

What do you think?
Best Regards...
Can you clarify, your 6210 works but when you try a 6310i, it does NOT work? What do you mean by "in paper compatible"?
Don't remember exactly when 6310i support was introduced but your phone interface box likely does not support 6310i. It would have to be SW updated (but that cannot be done easily, not at a normal service shop) or you would have to buy a later interface box model. Probably available at low cost from eBay.
I asked in a MB shop if my phone kit its compatible with 6310i and they answer YES. This is the reason that I said paper compatible. Because in theory it works.
But when I put the 6310i the phone charge but the Command don't "like it". The interface is the same.

Kind regards.
This is the cradle part number. Can you find the interface box part number?
The kit might be 6310i compatible but you would not be able to detect it from the fact that the phone starts charging. This happens on a kit that only supports 6210.
It says that 6310i support would only have started from 2004 onwards. You can also see the two control unit part numbers that have the SW to support 6310i.
