I do have the old V60 cradle with the Bluetooth puc in it - and in addition got this Razr V3 cradle to charge the phone from Bury Technology, which also feature an pick up for an external antenna (comes even with an glass antenna).
Am I correct, that the old V60 cradle with the Bluetooth puc in it does not need the original antenna connection - and can I use this connection for my new (additional) Razr V3 cradle?
I have no idea what RAZR cradle you are talking about, so cannot begin to advise you as to whether it will work. You gave no link to it, and usually companies do little to post detailed specifications on such products.
Your V60 cradle does connect to the external antenna. I do not believe the V60 puck in your car makes use of the external antenna connection; however, you could experiment simply by disconnecting the V60 cradle antenna connector in the console, and checking signal strength before and after.
If the V60 puck setup makes no use of the external antenna, it would be available for your RAZR cradle.
I am basing this on the assumption that your GL is similar to other MB phone systems. I have no experience with the G-Class, and little with 3rd party phone equipment, as I said in my first post. I must leave you to do a bit of experimentation on your own.
Of course, if it doesn't work out, you can install the glass-mount antenna you got with your RAZR cradle.

thanks for your reply. I found the correct antenna connector used on the V60 cradle for the phone prewire harness. It is called "Mini UHF", and in my case I needed a male Mini UHF to female FME adapter to hook up my added Razr V3 cradle to the factory phone prewire antenna connection.
I have a 1999 E320 that came with the really old "MicroTac" analog phone. Are there any wired solutions, other than the MikBox (which seems to be unavailable now) that I could use?
Edit: I believe I have PSE# Q682-0387, what options do I have?

I cannot answer that question definitively. I know of one contributor who upgraded his later-production '99 W140 to a V60 Bluetooth installation, but fortunately for him, the connectors to his original PSE also fit the Autosense PSE. That was the key. Some '99s have analog connectors that simply will not fit the v60 PSE.
The "Universal PSE" is available for folks who had StarTac or TimePort, or needed to replace an Autosense or V60 PSE. If your dealer has one in stock, you might try to match the connectors.
also, it doesn't seem that there are enough fiber optic plugs. different connections too. the one that i removed from my cd changer doesn't fit into any of the plugs provided.
about the wires, do you just disconnect the wires from the cd changer all together and not have them connected to the cd changer? if i do disconnect the wires from the cd changer, why would i need to have the fiber optic plugs connected to the cd changer?
Does anyone know how to hook a blackberry pearl into an 05 c230 sport. I have all the controls for a phone on the steering wheel and head unit however there is no hook-up. I have been told it is suppossed to be in the center armrest however there is no hook-up there.
Thanks for the help.
mikelong, this string is about handsfree communications. Let's not take it off on a tangent.
See http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...st2376586.html for details on the Gateway 500. You didn't tell us which year or model of car you have, which makes it nearly impossible to answer your question without writing a book - literally.
CDC stands for CD Changer.
The Gateway 500 installation manual, for all of its faults, does tell you how and where to make fiber optic connections. You may get better feedback if you post further questions in the Gateway 500 string referenced, after reading the string. While the string addresses a MOST bus equipped S500, it also deals with some other models in less detail; and some contributors have posted information on installations in their own cars. A search may get them for you.
If you bought your Gateway 500 used and didn't get the manuals, you can download the installation manual and the owner manual at the Dension website. Be sure you get the right manuals - there is a D2B version and a MOST version, and each version may come in a Version 1, 2 or 3 hardware configuration. The hardware version is on the label on the GW 500 itself. The current shipping hardware version is 3.
I also note your separate string, in which you posted additional information about your car, at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...0-install.html - you are getting superb assistance there; the additional information helps. It would seem that you may have bought the wrong type of Gateway 500 for your car.

maxximus,
See the string at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...what-do-i.html, and especially the links at post #7. Once you have determined whether you have the full set of phone equipment in your car, then read posts 1, 4, 5 and 6 in this string.
