Need Radio Code for ML320

Help! I changed my dead battery in my 2000 ML320 and my radio is asking for a security code..? Anyone ever experienced this?

About a thousand people, all of whom asked the question on the forum before you did. Do a search on "security code." The search feature will help you a great deal and avoid needless repetition. It also gets you the answers to common questions much faster.

If you're really lazy, just look at the "similar threads" at the bottom of this page. There, you might even find that two people with vehicles similar to yours have asked.

Okay, I have read the previous threads and I have looked all over the service records from the previous owner, but can't find the code, the ones I try on the records don't work. Please help..... my vin is 4JGAB54E9YA155701.

Go to your dealer, who will give it to you once you provide proof of ownership. Go to parts department.

Providing codes on a forum like this only aids and abets thieves and is a disservice to all Mercedes owners.

You must have skipped reading the ones at the bottom of this page - where the majority of folks were either told, or on their own reported, that the dealer provided the code (after being provided the VIN and proof of ownership, whether it is mentioned or not).

If you ever lose a smartkey, you'll have to go through a similar process to get a replacement - for the same reasons (theft protection). Only it won't be cheap.
