What does the "mp3 play" give you - does it allow the COMAND to play a CD of MP3 files? Does it show the tag info from the MP3 file (artist, title etc)?
Yes, it does. Make sure you edit your tags properly or any typos will be seen by your passengers
Hi guys. At last I got the solution !!! . It was so simple. It's a little instrument to connect through the usual slot to the optical ring. In about 1 minute the job is completed and it can be disconnected. Easy. They say it's permanent. It works just fine. I think that it can be found everywhere (U.S.A., U.K., Germany....)
I don't like to spread the information everywere. I have the idea that if the key sequence had not been spreaded , may be M-Benz wouldn't change the engineering mode entry point so soon. I don't know how it works when the head unit is a cd player, not a dvd player. I have tried the unlock codes on my 2006 CLS 500 and it has never worked for me.

I think these are all Euro unlocks.. they sell these things on ebay for Euro only...

If you have a w211, then you can be playing Mp3's because those codes work. if you're not sure what code, holla back.
The only one that doesn't work for me is the W220 DVD play and watch...
WHo has a US w211 with a DVD player ( Not the NAV Drive )? I think no one right?
So the W211's and CLS's all can be MP3 enabled. you just have to know how to do it.
