This is not a matter that can be fixed with an "unlock code" - you might be better off asking the question in an entirely new post (in this forum; it's the right place to ask). It will attract more attention.
Some head units can be reprogrammed from U.S. to European tuning sequences, but will probably still not cover all of the stations (U.S. and European radios cover different frequency ranges at the upper and lower end of the spectrum; they overlap in the middle).
Two folks who are knowledgeable in this area are Diesel Benz and BigSis. You might try a Private Message or e-mail to them - but be sure to tell them just which head unit is in your car. It can affect the outcome.

I have aquired unlock codes for my command in my 04 w211 E class 320 cdi.
These enable the engineers menu and i have been able to unlock the video menu to play whilst driving, region free dvd play and mp3 play. Not sure what other models these apply to but i would assume any, with command aps

The rest of this very long string talks about other COMANDs, including those for which there is no "code." I might help if you read through it.
Also, if your car was manufactured to Asian specifications, it is very unlikely the European codes will work with it. An Asian specification car has a very different COMAND unit.
yeah this will not work on my car 2004 E500 it will go onto the engeeniring mode but thats it cant seem to go into step 3 holding the star/pound key and arrow nothing happends.. any info on that?

Well, I have the US Alpine MCSII in my CLK 2005 and I think it could be the same - the navigation system says W164 somewhere. I can get into the Alpine testing menu by pressing AUDIO (so I see AUX, CD etc), then first pressing and holding "OK" -the little joy stick-, then "7", then "MUTE" for a couple of seconds.
I wonder whether there is another menu where one can change more settings though? In the testing menu there is only a very limited number. I didn't try any other key combination while within testing mode to find a 'secret menu', might be worth trying.
Hijack: Since I am in Europe, I experience the usual difficulties with the frequencies and map data. Navteq/Alpine/Mercedes play a nasty game. Any hints other than replacing the HU are welcome
