I have the same system which came on my car, imported from Japan, I live in UAE, the FM frequency range is different, Japanese frequency max. reach 89.9 MHZ, but we have the european frequency range from 87.7 MHZ to 108 MHZ, does any one know how to change this to able to receive higher frequency, or at least did any one replace the radio part of it, because I see there are two stacks one of them is radio, or does any one know if some did it or can do it.

The unit is a paperweight.
It needs to be a DX capable CD drive and a Euro version radio tuner. The Japan unit is neither.

Firstly, I am planing to update the firmware with that of euro. This requies a change in the config.sys (remember Comand is running on DOS based OS) file on update CD. Once update is applied this unit will work just like a DX 2.0 unit. FINGER CROSSED X.
So far I've managed to make the CD changer (Fiber Opt) function, Feed TV input via tuner, play DVD on it.
Things to DO... the Navigaion must work...anyone has japanese CD?

I don't have the Japanese CD, and I'm not worried about the navigation, I need the radio frequency range to match the european frequency range, if you have any idea how to get it working I'll appreciate it, because I'm planning to replace the whole unit for that.

Any info wellcome.
Yes, I have 2 japan maps and they are not DX coded. Given that the CD drive is crucial to the navigation input process and memory of destinations then I dont know how flashing will work.

The only reason you won't admit you are beaten is because you bought this unit cheaply.

Admit what?
I bought the car and it came with it, I had no other choice, the car is beautiful, but I hate this Japanese command system for the radio frequency, do you have a solution for that? if you do please tell me.
