I have bought a multimedia-interface and DVB-tuner for my 2004 SLK350 (R171) but I can't get it to work.

What do you mean when you say someone needs to "trick" the head unit?

Hi - I owned a Merc e-class W211 year 2004 imported from Japan i.e. Japanese specs comand APS. I need to get the tv working. There are 2 channels which I get the sound but NO pictures - what should I do? My radio is also limited having 76mhz - 90 mhz. I would appreciate your help. I lived in Malaysia. Thanks
