Removing satellite radio on 2005 ML3050

I have the chance to remove a satellite radio component and NAV off my brother in laws 2005 ML500 and install into my 2005 ML350.

I know how to remove and install the NAV, but how and where are the satellite radio components and how do I remove and reinstall??

Thanks,
Stewart

RE: Removing satellite radio on 2005 ML3050

I am guessing the only thing you can take out would be the antenna. I dont no much about the factory install but i think in the later years of the MCS they had it able to have a SAT option for radio so you could control the sat radio on the MCS, if that is true then the radio code stays with the MCS so you cant transfer the service to your car. My guess is if you wanted factory sat radio the dealer has to do some activation with the computer.

The unit is in the rear right quarter panel where the CD changer mounts ...

I have the MB Install bulletin for 04-05 MLs ... actually I have all of them for 04-05 MB models. Provide me with an e-mail address that can accept file sizes larger than 1MB and I will send it to you ...
