THE INFAMOUS "C" CONNECTOR

Is anyone able to identify who the actual manufacturer of the "C" male connector is, as commonly used in the fabrication of the C to C1/C2 harness for comand.

It would be great to know, as I have read many posts regarding the non - availability from MB for this part.
I have managed to identify the C1 and C2 inc the housing, which is TYCO / AMP. These can be purchased for a fraction of the cost from suppliers of this make.
But unfortunately the manufacturer of the C connector has me stumped!!

Anyone know, or should I say willing to devulge??

Cheers,
George.

Thanks Alfie.
Thats a start. I have sent them an email asking for the entire harness, as I have yet to find any of these after market harness assemblers / retailers sell just the Male C.

One again,
Thanks.
George.

RE: THE INFAMOUS "C" CONNECTOR

It is made by AMP who also provides most of the connectors for Mercedes. AFAIK the "C" connectors are specific to Mercedes and you need to buy them from Mercedes, AMP does not sell them directly.
