i am thinking about changing the stock speakers in the car, because i heard there would be a good amount of difference.Does anybody have any suggestion on what might be good & do you think its worth it?Right now i hook up my mp3 player to the stock head unit and sounds loud but i want more of a all around sound.thanks in advance
I just got a 2002 C240 and am trying to figure out how to change the speakers out too. I found a place on-line that sells drop in speakers that they say don't need an amp and sound better then stock. I'm not sure how to take the door panel apart or if I even need to. It looks like the speaker cover may be able to pop off but I'm not sure. My local MB dealer is a clown and won't tell me how. If I figure it out I will document it and post it though. I don't know about the head unit. I don't want to change that out but I woould like an IPOD adapter though and not the tape or FM module. Anyway, I'll let you know if I figure out anything about the speakers. Let me know if you hear anything.
