AUDIO OFF message on display panel after installing CD Changer - Benzworld.org

This is my first posting on this forum. This is a GREAT resource! I just bought a new CD Changer on ebay for my 2001 E320 MB. When I hooked it up to the trunk wires, then turned on the car, I only see an AUDIO OFF message on the display panel. Do I need to take the car to a dealer and have them reprogram the entire audio system? If so, bummer. If this has happened to you, please let me know if there is a quick fix...Thanks!!!

So the display says this even when you are in FM/AM? Or does it only say it when you are are using the CD?
