Hello i am new, i was just wondering one thing. On 2001 e320 there is a phone connection installation, already but its for motorola star tac phone, the car is in europe now, and they cant get the motorola v3 razar to work there, mercedes center says there is different megahertz in usa and europe, but there has to be some kind of solution? the car has nav system as well, is there any way we can get the motorola v3 to work in the car? thank you and i apreciate your time.
You won't be able to get the V3 phone to work with any of the MB phone kits. Not with UHI and not with MHI... If you and your car were in the US, I would suggest a Mikbox - but that doesn't 'just' work in Europe.
And yes, your current dealer is right in saying that US and Europe have different radio frequencies / Mhz.

The RAZR V3 was designed to work through Bluetooth. Until the M-B Bluetooth mods become available, it would not work with UHI or MHI because no cradle is made for it. That still won't solve any frequency problems - but it is a GSM phone.
