2000 E430 Sport - CD Changer Installation

I have a 2000 E430 Sport and I'm trying to install the factory Alpine CD Changer. From what I understand, it's supposed to be located in the back left of the trunk. I pulled the carpeting and found some wires and I believe I found the fiber optic cable (orange wiring). It had a green protection cover on the wire and it fit in the bigger port on the CD Changer. I believe the second cable I'm looking for is the power cable, for the smaller port. For season reason I cannot locate the cable. Any thoughts? Any help/guidance, would be greatly appreciated!

Also, when pulling the fiber optic cable it seems that it was too short, it didn't extend as expected. Is this normal?

You should be able to find your answers if you do a search in this forum or in the W210 forum.

Okay, thanks. I did run a search, but didn't find anything specific. I'll try again. I have a feeling I have to pull out the entire panel to find the wire.

no, you shouldn't need to pull the entire panel. just
reach in, shine your flashlight and look for any other
wiring bundle. should be zipped along the sheet metal
behind the left rear wheel. you're looking for a small
black twin lead with little, black polarized fitting at
the end...oh, about 1/4"x3/8" or so.

rear of MC-3010
