Suggest you search this forum and MB World using the terms "UHI" "MHI" and "MikBox." This has been a very active topic. For a MikBox installation, see http://www.benzworld.org/publications/pub.asp?id=317 which also has links to other very informative sites.
Another product that is due for release this summer is the Argos Bluetooth integration for Mercedes. I don't know if it will be available for a G-class, and I don't know of anyone yet who has one installed in a Mercedes (since it hasn't been released).
Thanks to tcflya for pointing out the following posts:
The Argos Mercedes Bluetooth product is planned to be compatible with the following Mercedes Benz vehicles:
S Class: 2000-2003
SL Class: 1999-2004 E Class: 199-2002
C Class: 1999-2004
CL Class: 2000-2003
CLK Class: 2000-2004
M Class: mid 1999 – current production
SLK Class: start of production - current production
However, if it isn't available for the G-class, the Parrot add-on device (which doesn't seem well-integrated) is available at http://www.driveblue.com/(2p05zb45necpje45gdg0oy55)/roof_propal/index.htm
The MikBox is less expensive, and allows use of Motorola phones with a cradle. It is not yet available in a Bluetooth model. I have one, and have found it very reliable. The Argos and Parrot devices are for Bluetooth phones.
