Subwoofer Install - Benzworld.org

Hello,
I am adding a 12" audiobahn subwoofer powered by a 500w amp to my '86 190E 2.3-16. Anyway, i heard that since the gas tank is located behind the rear seats you wont get much bass inside. Anyone have any ideas. I'm thinking of cutting 2 holes on the back panel where the rear speakers are located and then cover the holes with speaker grilles. What do you guys think? Anyone ever done this?

Before you do all that, Just try putting the sub in the rear. And see how it sounds for yourself.

Yea, I was going to try that first.Hopefully i wont have to cut anything. [:)]
