260e speaker replacement

ok i have a 1988 260e and i wanna take out the old stock speakers but "and this is stupid" i cant for the life of me figure out how to get the damn things exposed... i tried to pry the covers off but i dont wanna break anything so i didnt apply to much preasure... how in the wold do i get the darn things out??? any help out there....

I went by these instructions and had no problems.

It doesn't discuss the speakers in the doors that some w124s had. My 91 230E doesn't have door speakers anyway.
