W203 GPS Antenna

Hello MB Gurus,

I have recently installed a comand 2.0 in my car and so far I cannot get it to receive any satellites. I have used a mercedes extension cabel to the back of the car coupled then to a splitter that connects to 2 wires that come from the top of my rear windscreen. I think I have the antenna feed correct because if I invert the wiring then the MW radio signals degrade. Therefore ca someone enlighten me as to wheher the fault lies within the command unit or is there some other diagnostics area that I can look at to see where the problem may lie. The car is a 2003 model and all I have coming from the rear screen are 2 wires which went to the front of the car. One I guess was the FM antenna and the other the diversity one.

I think that if you don't have Teleaid, there is no GPS antenna in the car. The radio antenna definitely will NOT receive GPS signals.

I would have to agree. The splitter is there for no reason. You need a rear glass mounted antenna.
