The Bose sound system on my SLK230 is adequate, but I've never been one to settle for adequate. I like my music to have more low-end punch than the stock components can provide.
Has anyone added an subwoofer enclosure to the trunk of their SLK? If so, where/how did you run the wiring? Is there a pass-through on the rear wall somewhere or did you have to improvise?
Alternately, (and perhaps much easier) has anyone replaced the rear 6" Bose speakers with full 6" subwoofers? I found 6" woofers available from JL audio. See specs here:
