Alpine adaptor to use Alpine HU in stock system?

Does anyone know of an Alpine adaptor so that I can use an Alpine headunit with the stock system & steering wheel audio controls?

There is supposed to be an Alpine adaptor available in Europe. You might try Alpine's European website. It isn't expensive, but allegedly requires installation by an MB tech because the ignition switch needs to be removed.
