Hi everyone,

My first MB and I lose the key within a week. I've had no car for over a month now, wish I would of bought a normal car with a normal key!

I posted diagnostics which they charged me £70 for but have had no response. MB would not explain any thing, I even had to fight to get the print out which I uploaded.

Anyway, looking forward to working my way up to the new A-Class. Just make sure it doesn't come from Mercedes of Stockport. I've never had such poor service from any business.

Hello,
I had key problems and went to the service dept. at MB. They took my registration and drivers license, made themselves a copy, and presented me with a replacement key. I forget how much it cost as it was quite a while ago. But, that is how I solved that problem. They had my key on record by the VIN number. Thought it was great and a good service.

I'm guessing not from MB Stockport?

With me I had to recover the car to them, did you have to do that?

When the £195 key arrived it still didn't work (start error).

MB charged me £70 for diagnostic to tell me my key module needed replacing which is worth more than the car!!

How can a key module need replacing when it worked fine before I lost the key?
