The factory radio will only control a 6 disk alpine style changer. If you want to put a 12 in youe will have to go with an RF unit with it's own controls if you want to keep the factory radio. You just have to set one of the station presets on the the transmission frequency of the CD unit. You will have to plug it in to the antenna jack of the stereo as well.
