locate outside temperature sensor

hi there i have a 2007 clk 350 where can i locate the outside temperature sensor because i think its not working properly its always giving a +185 F and when its giving this the check engine light is turned on plzz some one help me locate it and can any one help me if i replace the ambient temperature sensor the check engine light will turn off.

Dude.. it would be easier to follow your messages if you used normal English punctuation & capitals instead of your phonetext lingo....:confused:

I do not think ambient temp malfunction will initiate CEL, but I could be wrong. I believe that the signal also goes to the a/c system.

Access to this sensor is not quite so easy, as it is located in the void behind the right fender lining. To remove that you need to remove the right wheel. The inner fender lining is in 3 parts. Only the front section has to be removed to get access to this sensor. See WIS info below:

Your CEL and the OTS have nothing in common, so the CEL means an engine problem.

^Interesting, I work on both BMW and BENZ but never heard of this one before. Still thanks and I will look further into this.

And where exactly is your outside temperature sensor located?
