Good question. I collect cars as a hobby and part of my past was collecting Miatas. My favorite was a very rare 1999 10th Anniversary Edition. All of the 10th Anniversary Editions were finished in Sapphire Blue Mica, so that is where the Sapphire part of my name comes from. Onto the the 'XAE' portion.... being as the roman numeral for 10 is 'X', the 'XAE' stands for "10th Anniversary Edition". So, there is the history behind my user name. I haven't owned that car in nine years but I continue to use that name on forums (and other things) out of tradition and habit.
