| 313CDi cut out and won't start!
I have a Sprinter 313cdi and the EDC Light came on suddenly while driving together with the obvious limp mode power loss. I switched off and tried starting again but it would not start. Once home I detected that the fuel shut off solonoid valve did not click when turning on the ignition.
I replaced the fule shut off valve with a brand new one and the engine started straight away, but the EDC Light remained illuminated. The van was still in limp mode but the engine was running fine for a while, then it decided to shut itself off at tickover and now it will not start at all. Any suggestions, have I wasted money buying a new shut off valve? I have now tested the old valve with a 9v Battery and the solonoid is clicking on and off fine. Anybody know what going on.
