For whatever reason I do not know, the previous owner of car may not have known or simply failed to take the car in before I got it.
On another note, does anybody get soapy foam build ups in the trunk well / trunk crack area after a car wash? I first notices when soap started to come out of the trunk area after a wash, I opened the trunk, soap was all over the area where water is supposed to drain. It does not get into the trunk because the rubber seals prevent it, nevertheless is this normal? |
First, I don't think there was a "Recall." I believe it was a Campaign, and I think there's a big difference. Second, is there a time-limit on the Recall/Campaign? I don't recall that being the case. As to why the work was never done, I don't see how that should be your concern. The Recall/Campaign problem was and is still a problem--and MB should take responsibility for it!
No, it is not "normal" for our trunks to leak. I suspect that the rubber seals have failed and should be replaced--ASAP!
