| How to work out your legel payload:
1. Fill your car with fuel and screenwash, then drive it to a public weighbridge.
2. Weigh your van.
3. Add on your weight and any passengers.
4. Take that away from 3500kg, assuming that's the MGW of your van.
The Vehicle Insepctorate allow you to be 5% over to take into account the varying mass of some types of load, so you a#can expect enforcement, prosecution or a prohibition notice at anything over 3675kgs.
