 Repair-kit or techincal chart for the power steering pump
Hi!
I'm having a problem with the power steering pump. I've been searching these forums and come up with a few others having the same problem.
The pump is running continuously even when the engine is off. So my guess is that there is a switch internally that is jammed and won't turn off the pump when it loose power.
As the pump is expencive and is in fact working perfectly, except for not turning off when it should, I'm looking for a repair-kit or a technical chart so I can fix it myself.
I have an education in electronics so it shouldn't be difficult. I could open it without the chart and go in blind, but I won't risk damaging the pump and be without my car for what could be a long time.
Hope anyone can help me with a quick download for the techincal charts so I can get my A160 up and running. As of now I have to remove the fuse connected to the power steering pump not to drain the battery over night.
