Hi folks, newby to the forum here, hoping someone can help me make my favourite car, my perfect car!
I own several cars and the SLK55 is just my favourite - has everything I want in a car for fun and daily use.
Yesterday I took out a friend's AM V8 Vantage out to the Great Ocean Road and had a great great run. The sound of the Vantage boucning off the cliff wall and the cliff face on the other side was just insane.
Hence I had a thought... the ONLY thing I like more about the Vantage is the sound. I was not impressed with the interior (although the leather is great), not impressed the the torque either, and handling was good... but not "amazing". I still love the car, don't get me wrong... but would I go spend $275k on a new one or $300k for a drop top? Not a chance
Anyway, I REALLY REALLY like that exhaust note.
Is there any custom exhaust for the SLK55 that you know of that could get me close?
In terms of what I like ABOUT the sound: it's just so BRUTAL. Makes it sound liek you're going so fast...when you're actually not!
