The sales tax in MN is calculated on MSRP, not on the actual sales price. Thank the law makers! They get a few more bucks that way, not the dealer.
The dealer did you a favor by raising the BMW trade in value, otherwise your cash payment would have been higher.
Now, if I can only figure out why my plate sticker says April instead of June... we are being ripped off by having the first year's registration only 10 months instead of 12.
