Probly the sensor is messed up, i remember that when my C240 had the warning for the coolant, i just added more of the coolant and it went away. Also try to check everyday after the engine is on for a while if the temp of the car is the same, if it gets higher then you might have a problem and you can dicard that the sensor is the trouble maker.
