| Different animals. I had almost the same exact mechanical problems on both. Both shared similar M104 engines. The W124 is much larger inside and drives so much better on the highway. The W202 is more fun to drive in the city or twisty roads due to its smaller dimensions. When I first bought/drove the W124my first comment was "this is a true Mercedes."
