| In pure, cruise-controlled highway driving, I too have seen 30+ mpg. It's hard to make that over a full day's driving, though, because of topography and traffic.
On a recent trip returning home from California, we did 500 miles at 70-80 mph, with a gain and loss of over 4000 feet of altitude, with the AC on full blast, and the average for the trip was just short of 29 mpg.
What's remarkable is that this car beats our '02 C240 by 1-3 mpg in virtually all situations, and has 40% more power to boot. Sounds good to me.
