| E320 Waggon 2001 W126.265 I replace the filters after reading all above notes. I like to improve the procedures by following: Only remove the metal screws,Do Not touch the two rubber screws, the two screws have no function to secure the glove box. Metal screws are six, two in front, two on bottom of box covered by rubber cover, two next to light on top. You have to jerk very hard in upward 45 degree angle to get it off. Almost seem like to broke the glove, you just have to give yourself confidence that all you need to do and nothing is securing the box now.
After I replace the filters, I filed down the black plastic tabs, five of those, 3 on the bottom, 2 on top, in an angle of 45 degree towards the front, and the center top rectangle tabs next to the light, so it will be easy to remove next time. |
