A recall will indeed result in a letter to you from MBUSA and will cover basically any safety problem. Other problems can be made into recalls at MBUSA discretion, e.g. W210 door rust prevention.

Recalls--not TSBs--are posted in a free area at startekinfo.com.

A recall will be performed for free by a dealer regardless of whether vehicle is still under warranty.

The only recall on your list is the Replace Crankshaft Position Sensor item and you didn't get a letter because you don't have a diesel.

TSBs are strictly dealer notifications and the owner is not sent a copy.

If you come in for service with a complaint, dealer will check database of TSBs for a solution.

TSBs will be performed for free by dealer only when vehicle remains under warranty.

Smart owners will try to keep up on TSBs and these forums are a good way as folks like you tend to post them here.

Anyone can subscribe to Startekinfo for a day to check on TSBs for their vehicle, too.

Good independent mechanics will have an ongoing subscription to startekinfo and if they feel like it can inform you of any TSBs, etc. but will refer you to the dealer because independents are not reimbursed for performing these procedures free to you.

"Service campaigns" will be automatically performed whenever you bring your car in to a dealer (not independent) for service, but you probably won't receive a letter of notification.

Thank you for the info.

Here is the answer from my service advisor:

I am so happy that my car is free of recall or problem at this time.

Here is the answer from my sevice advisor:

I just ran your vehicle identification number and there currently are no open service campaigns or recalls. The list of technical bulletins apply to actual problems that may occur with any given vehicle and do not necessarily mean that they must be done to every car.
I hope this addresses your concern.
