| If I remember correctly, Mercedes-Benz used to have a good relationship with Mitsubishi back in the days. Not to mention Mitsubishi had a strong tie with Chrysler. Anyway, Hyundai used to share lots of drive trains and platforms with Mitsubishi. Well it was more of Hyundai paid loyalty and bought blueprints of older modes when they did not have enough technology to develop car themselves from the scratch.
