We are not only looking for mirror straightness in the metal/polymer foundation but also the durability against stone and door ding damage. We want to avoid delamination of the paint through day to day use so a quality application is essential.
As to the photos of the 500K and the 300SL, I would not know where to locate oil filters for these cars. So, for me, they are not really viable as "driving" cars at all. On the other hand, the 190E is every bit as modern and roadworthy as anything normally found on the road.
