| Well the good old labour government comes to the rescue for the environment in the only way they can think of...by taxing people...that was their same answer recently to tackle the problem of binge drinking, they put tax on drink, yet only a few years back they agreed to longer bar opening times and town planners have encouraged bars and clubs into the town centres to be grouped together...these are the same planners that allow out of town shopping zones to spring up around the edges of major towns and cities that are impractical to get to without a car!
Would it make anyone sell their "polluting" cars to avoid the tax? well I can imagine it's going to be hard to sell an SLK now without dropping the price which is pointless if you are trying to save money on the tax...so i shall be keeping mine and using it for every tiny little journey...if i am paying to pollute then why shouldn't i? |
