There are a number of things that could cause a no start, but one suggestion is that you check the odometer window on the instrument cluster and if it says START ERROR in place of the mileage, then no repair shop can fix the problem. It is the DAS (Drive Authorization System) which can only be purchased and coded by a M/B dealer. Before your mechanic starts replacing parts to try and get the truck running, it would be financially beneficial to you both, if you find this out as soon as possible.
