I used my PELA 6000 Oil Extractor for the first time today. I purchased a 5 litre jug of Mobile 1 for $ 38.00 at Walmart ( Mobile 1 is even cheaper if you wait for a special ) and the Pela worked as advertised. It sucked all 5 litres out, but I did have to manually pump the vacuum about 10 strokes after every litre of oil to maintain a good flow of oil. It is certainly a quick and easy way to change the oil without a mess and without jacking the car etc.

You could of course easily change the filter yourself too if you want to; however, I intend to use this in between scheduled oil changes which include the filter. Based on this one time experience, I give the PELA 4 stars out of 5. ( It would have to do all the work itself to get 5 stars.)
