I drove the same car when it was new too. It's really held up well, better than my SAAB with 45K. In fact my SAAB is a week newer than this VW. If the VW network has changed over the past 10 years (reason why I went with SAABs) I'd be back in a second! Anyone have any recent experiance? |
My inlaws have an 04 MKIV GLS - slow as hell, but it holds up quite well. Dealership experience is a sucky one. My wife bought her A4 new from the same guys (Commonwealth in Santa Ana), but she's treated at least 100% better (must be a brand thing). Originally she wanted to buy a MKIV GTI - I am glad she went with the Audi instead. Regarding Saabs, there is a young chick in our street that drives a red 1992 900 Turbo 16V. I am waiting for the day that she puts it up for sale.
