| As I recall, the fuel return value should be the same. The "dash-pot," [which is the part you are referring to] judging from the picture in the eBay listing, does not look any too good, the spring loaded shaft appears bent. Most dash-pots are non-operational on old cars anyway... the diaphragms eventually leak.
The top plates are slightly different then yours, the link for the choke butterfly on the older carbs is out in the open, and enclosed on the later ones.
If you are buying the carbs for parts, then go for it. The cost of individual OE replacement parts on these is horrendous. When I had a 250/8 and a 250C, I kept a couple of sets of these carbs just to "cannibalize"...
