| How did you find your 124? Tips on searching, finding...
Could you pass on your search tips to a newbie in Mercland? I know the usual generic web sites for used cars, but I'm sure I'm missing out on others because I don't know MBs much at all. (What about print media?) I just purchased the Bentley manual for the 124.
FWIW: In 2007 I was successful in scoring the BMW 125i coupe of my dreams after several weeks of intensive research and web searching. That was (and is) a very exciting and satisfying experience. Now I am contemplating a similar quest for a 300CE/E320 coupe(124). I must admit I am a bit intimidated because of the relative rarity of these cars and their reputation for very high repair and maintenance costs. (I don't do mechanical work.)
I spent $5200 for my 1990 325i (w/M3 upgrades) and put out another ~$2K to get it into good running condition, nothing fancy. I'd like to do about the same for a 124 coupe. Thanks in advance. |
