| I don't see how the oil you are using is the wrong weight. I've been using 0W-40 or 10W-40 Mobil 1 for a long time. My car has 208K miles and no sign of timing chain problems. I guess you could try Mobil 1 to see if the noise dissapears but if not, you have to repair it.
