I do have the same feelings with my Becker! It works fine but if you want better sound ( as I do), I recommend installing whatever you want on it, but keeping the original components so you can return the car to original state when you want to. This really means using harness adapters for the head unit, because new wires for speakers and new speakers can always stay. After all, it is your car and you are free to do what is necessary to really enjoy driving it.
