Howdy Jlit,
I meant to slightly rib the aspects of using Dumbdras. I have a buddy that works here and he initially got 10.53mpg empty. He now gets 11.80mpg. I think with the weight you're thinking of carrying you'd really need a better vehicle for that portion. If you feel strongly about your trip then take it. I would personally love to hear how it is going and what vehicles you outfit. I've had Landcruisers and think they are amazing. The weight will be the killer. The roof top tents I think would be a great idea. I also think the dogs might be more hassle than help. You have my email or PM so keep my up to date with your progress. I'll be heading to Venezuala in June with one of my daughters, so I'm all about plugging in. Go luck,
Chas
