| I did this task over the weekend and it's defintiely easy to do on the E420. I got the "MAF" Cleaning spray at my local parts store for around $7. I also cleaned my friends MAF on his W208 CLK430 and he told me he feels a difference as well.
If helped a lot and I noticed the difference between the dirty, contaminated MAF vs. a clean MAF but it turns out the MAF sensor alone - the unit is going bad so I'm replacing it with a new this Friday.
