If you have to drive on the 20 in Montreal, you spend your time dodging potholes and hobby-horsing over the frost heaves and the mileage really suffers. Plus, turning right on a red is illegal (morons) and the lights are seemingly interminable on red. I'll bet my mileage is significantly worse than cruising along the Upper Levels billiard no no no highway (I lived in West Van for years and years).
