Calm down.
First of all, "like new" is equivalent to used. There is no implicit
guarantee that it is going to be like a new car.
Second, a 2006 ML still has factory warranty. Have the dealer fix it.

In the long run, things are going to break but in general , you have
bought a safe and relatively fun to drive vehicle.
